About Us
Since 2005, the Washington County Gay Straight Alliance, Inc. has served the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Transsexual, Questioning, Queer, Asexual, and Allied (LGBTQA+) community of Southwestern PA and surrounding areas.
We were formally founded as a 501 (C)(3) organization in 2012.
Since then, we’ve expanded beyond a safe space for LGBTQA+ youth and added 130+ days of annual programming—serving all ages from youth to seniors. Beginning in summer 2023 we’ve changed drop in hours opening our CENTER to all ages every Sunday.
We are dedicated to affirming acceptance between diverse groups of people, and raising awareness in our community of the needs of people through support, education, and community outreach on the issues of diversity.
WCGSA, Inc. provides a safe, confidential environment for individuals of Washington County and the surrounding areas regardless of sex, race, disability, gender, gender identity, gender expression, or sexual orientation.

Engage with LGBTQA+ individuals and communities to empower them to thrive through programming and resources to educate them on their rights, protections, and where there are Safe Zones
